Various city based outreach to International students across the UK

When?

Teams happen all through the summer and in many different cities! See the Friends International website for details of locations and dates.

What?

The aim of the outreach is to share God’s love by building genuine friendships with some of the many thousands of international students who come to the UK during the summer to learn English. We want to sensitively offer them the chance to hear about the Christian faith. Activities vary by location but usually involve international cafes each evening, often with different themes, as well as optional Bible studies for those interested. Afternoons are a chance to invite more people to the events and to get to know the international students better, perhaps visiting a museum, playing volleyball or reading the Bible with them. Mornings are for team training on a whole range of cross-cultural issues and Bible study. On Sundays local churches host international guest services.

Prayerfulness, a willingness to serve, to learn, to take the initiative in meeting new people and to work hard are important qualities in all team members. Team members must join for the full team length.
